What’s New in the App?

We looked at the agricultural sector through the eyes of our partners and noticed a trend: while they all agreed on the main tasks for the new app, each partner had unique requests we hadn’t encountered before. Therefore, instead of trying to address every possible need of all agribusinesses, we focused on the core tasks:

  • Access to information about fields and crops.
  • Recording the volume of field operations.
  • Monitoring the performance of specialized machinery and drivers.

If the necessary telematics equipment is installed on your machinery, all this data can be obtained from Wialon. Based on our platform, we created a simple solution to monitor field operations: Hecterra. This niche application includes two primary components:

1. Basic Interface

This interface handles the core tasks mentioned above: automated calculation of the treated area, directory management, field history storage, and reporting on field operations. All of this is powered by Wialon data. However, the Hecterra interface is just the tip of the iceberg—not a cliché, but a fact.

2. API = Versatility

Hecterra is our first project where we prioritized API, aiming to support the developer community. What you see in the interface is just a small part of what you, as an integrator, can offer to your clients.

For example, we currently calculate treated areas with high accuracy. These data can be used anywhere: from internal accounting systems within agricultural enterprises to third-party agricultural and telematics solutions. Developers can take it further by using Hecterra as a backend platform to create new solutions.

How Does It Work?

Here are the basic features we recommend trying first:

  • Create field polygons in Hecterra or import them from Wialon. You can define crop rotations for each field, specifying what was previously grown, what is currently being cultivated, and what operations have been carried out.

  • Fill out directories of crops and operations. This will show what crops you plant and the types of work carried out on your fields.

  • Work with objects, equipment, and drivers from Wialon within Hecterra.

  • Register field operations for any date.

About Aggregates

In Hecterra, trailers and mounted equipment are called “aggregates.” For each, you can set the working width (used for area calculations) and assign a technological operation (used in reporting).

Important! When calculating the treated area, we account for overlaps and gaps, which can be viewed on the map and in reports. Additionally, Hecterra shows the fuel consumption for processing a given area.
